BAGHDAD - This scene is courtesy of The Surreal Life: Baghdad. I found these two airmen fly fishing in the Saddam-commissioned man made lakes in what is now the main U.S. compound in Baghdad, Camp Victory.
"Saddam bass" and carp and the main quarry. Asked if they ate what they caught, one of the guys wrinkled his nose.
"No, I've seen what they put in that water," he said.
Judging by the murky green sludge floating in the lake where captive dolphins used to swim past waterfront palaces (Surreal Life: Saddam), it was probably a good move.
